Pink Out for the Cure is an outreach event for the Susan G. Komen North Central Alabama Affiliate that encourages healthy living and breast cancer awareness among some of the most passionate grassroots advocates for the cause: SPORTS FANS! The Irondale Titans Youth Football Association will sponsor a Pink Out for the Cure at our October 4 games against the Pinson Indians.
We are excited about this event as a way to educate the community about breast cancer prevention and early detection as well as honor those who have fought this disease that has touched the lives of so many in our community. We have invited the Pinson Indians and their supporters to help us “Pink Out” Shades Valley High School at our October 4 game when the Titans and Indians meet on the gridiron.
Here’s how you can support Pink Out for the Cure:
•Wear pink to the game and forgo your Irondale’s colors – just for this
•Support the cause with your wallet or purse! Stop by the Komen table
(which will be located by the admission gate) and purchase pink
bracelets ($2 each) and pink pom poms ($2) to root Irondale on.*
•Remember a loved one who has battled breast cancer by completing a
pink football with their name and a message of hope.
The Titans family hopes that you will join us for this very important cause.
